More WnG Articles! High Res images at dreamworksfansite.com! 2 new clips!
This week I got an email from both the owner of dreamworksfansite.com and from Daniel Brett letting me know about the high-res images over at dreamworksfansite.com. You can see them for yourself: Wallace and Gromit: Image Gallery. Daniel also emailed me to let me know about the mobile phone content being released, which is futher described in an articles below.
Daniel also found another WnG clip! Over at channel4.com: Watch an exclusive clip, they didn’t say what it was called though. If you are unable to see the clip you can download it directly here (quicktime format). Thanks again Daniel!
I found another one of the exclusive clips this morning! “To Pay or Tupee?” it’s over at moviesonline.ca: Exclusive : Wallace & Gromit Video Clip – if you don’t have the plugin, it can be downloaded directly here (quicktime format)
There is at least one more exclusive clip out there somewhere, if you happen to find the site that it was given to please drop me an email: lyz@princessleia.com
And now to the articles!
Official Press Release – FunMail will work with Aardman to create and distribute ringtones, wallpapers and animated screensavers based on the upcoming feature film “Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.”
Movie Review @ the-trades.com: Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit – The reviewer says “Nick Park has done a wonderful job of making you laugh almost every minute.” Hah! Excellent! And: “It is comforting to know that, despite everybody seemingly try to become more futuristic in their film-making, some people in the movie industry still use old-school methods to entertain us.” I whole-heartedly agree!
New Wallace & Gromit film gets mobile game
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (PS2, Xbox) – First Look – An article about the WnG game for PS2 and Xbox. This article has a few great screenshots of the game.
In stop-action animation, every movement counts – This is a great article about stop-motion films this year, and they talk about WnG. I’m interested in all kinds of stop motion (I am unable to see Corpse Bride this week, but it’s on my list!).
Say ‘ha-ha’ to Wallace & Gromit – This article is about the DVD release of the 3 flims last week. I’m a bit sad to see that this article refers to the release as “merely shameless hype” – I can’t disagree more! It’s the first release of Cracking Contraptions on DVD in the US, and that’s a big thing. The author does go on to say that WnG “are a better comedy team than Abbott and Costello” and the author clearly liked the 3 shorts and is recommending them.
Review: Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit. – “If you don’t fall off your chair laughing, you have no sense of humour. Excellent! This is a short article that gives a quick plot summary and ends with “There is so much going on in this delightful movie that you’ll be tempted to see it again to find out what you missed.” – I don’t doubt it!
ATM:AD Campaign for first Wallace & Gromit Full Length Feature – Appparently WnG will be the first feature film to employ the powers of ATM (yes, cash machines) advertising to promote their film in the UK. I’m not a big fan of advertising everywhere, but it’s worth mentioning anyway.
I’m going to try and set aside some time this week to get more pictures up in the pictures from the movie section, but we’ll see.
