Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl
Nearly 20 years after their first (and last!) feature film, Wallace and Gromit are back with a whole new feature-length film: Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl
For the lucky folks living in the UK it was broadcast on December 25, 2024 and on demand on BBC iPlayer, but the rest of us had to wait until today: January 4, 2025 and the release on Netflix.
I made breakfast with my kids this morning and we all sat down to watch it in our pajamas first thing!
I loved it, probably more than Were-Rabbit! I loved seeing the latest incantation of the hilarious Chief Inspector Mackintosh, and I enjoyed the return of Benjamin Whitehead as Wallace (RIP Peter Sallis). And in spite of it being in the trailer and being totally expected, I still laughed when Wallace was once again confused by Feathers McGraw as the chicken, and then exclaiming, “Good Grief, it’s you, again!” And we all shouted with glee when we saw the cameo from The Farmer from Shaun the Sheep, another favorite in our house. Finally, it almost goes without saying that our penguin-loving household loved seeing a return of Feathers McGraw.
It’s topped the charts over on Rotten Tomatoes and a NYT Critic’s Pick with the following article: ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ Review: It’s Alive!
