Once again June Toy has helped me find more WnG news, this time it’s an article from action-figure.com
McFarlane will be producing figures from the movie, both 6″ figures and 3-inch figure sets. Now McFarlane have released line-ups for both of these assortments.
According to the article the 6 inch figures are: Wallace 1, Wallace 2, Gromit 1, Gromit 2, Victor, Lady Tottington, PC Mackintosh, and Hutch. The 3-inch sets are: Were-Rabbit Set (Wallace, Gromit, PC Mackintosh, Were-Rabbit) and Victor Set (Wallace, Victor, Lady Tottington, Gromit, Hutch).
I followed this up by checking out spawn.com and it seems they already have pages set up for all these, even though there are no photos. And they will also be making Bean Dolls.

I just came back from a short vacation, and was excited to discover that on the 28th Frontier Developments Ltd. announced plans for the development and release of a new Wallace and Gromit Game! To tie in with the movie!
Frontier Developments Ltd. (‘Frontier’), the leading independent games developer, announced today that it has been collaborating closely with Aardman Animations Ltd. (‘Aardman’) on the development of a major new console game, “The Curse of the Were-Rabbit”, starring the much-loved, Oscar®-winning, claymation duo Wallace & Gromit.
The multi-format game’s development has been kept under wraps for the past year and is due for release day and date, later this year, with Aardman’s hotly-anticipated forthcoming feature-length film “Curse of the Were-Rabbit”. In a unique move for both companies, the ‘Curse of the Were-Rabbit’ game has been jointly produced by Aardman and Frontier – licensing to a publisher is currently underway. –gamesindustry.biz

According to an article on spawn.com:
Aardman has selected McFarlane Toys as the master toy partner for the upcoming family feature film “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit,” coming to theatres in October 2005.
McFarlane Toys will launch a limited line of toys in fall 2005, with the full product line hitting retail shelves in 2006. Under the direction of Todd McFarlane, McFarlane Toys will capture the richness and spirit of “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” characters through its magic of sculpting and attention to detail with a new line of action figures, 3-inch figure playsets and plush bean dolls.
“As a fan of Wallace and Gromit for years now, I’m happy to see these great characters get introduced to mainstream America,” said McFarlane Toys founder Todd McFarlane. “Nick Park’s creations will make fantastic toys and this will be a very fun time for us to be involved with Wallace and Gromit.”
“The choice of McFarlane as partner was an obvious one as they have synergistic values of innovation, imagination and attention to detail – all factors that play a key role in the success of Wallace & Gromit,” said Sean Clarke, Head of Marketing & Licensing at Aardman. “I am certain this will be reflected in a range of toys and gifts that truly interpret the spirit of ‘The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’.”
Brilliant! I love McFarlane Toys! I think this is a great match.

According to this article on westminsterkennelclub.org, Dreamworks is teaming up with The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show to bring the dog show to the internet for dog fans worldwide. The online highlights will be hosted by Gromit!
For the first time ever, fans of “America’s Dog Show” will be able to see highlights of the breed competition held each day in the 165 breeds and varieties. Those highlights will be shot and posted in streaming video on the Westminster web site (www.westminsterkennelclub.org) within two hours of the actual competition for any particular breed or variety.
The streaming video is being sponsored by DreamWorks Animation, marking the first time ever in Westminster’s illustrious history that the club has accepted a sponsorship partner outside of a dog food company. The streaming video project will be hosted by Gromit, the canine half of the beloved clay-animated duo Wallace & Gromit. DreamWorks will be presenting Aardman’s new Wallace & Gromit feature length film, which opens on October 7, 2005.
Nick Park added:
“Although he is not a purebred, I am certain that Gromit will have no problem going nose to nose with the other dogs at the competition. He’s a scrappy little pup, and will remind everyone that any dog can truly be a best friend.”
Now I just wonder how a dog that can talk can be a host. We’ll see!
