Yesterday was your last chance to buy the wallace and gromit shorts from Cracking Contraptions from Atomfilms. The site actually says:

“Unfortunately, your chance to own the entire series has passed (at least for now).”

So I am sure they will offer them again in the future, maybe at a discounted price? Or maybe this is a prelude to releasing the dvd in the US? Only time will tell. You can still download Soccamatic and the Official Trailer, as well as a few goodies like wallpaper and sound bytes!

That’s right, the last chance to see and buy the downloadable versions of Wallace And Gromit’s Cracking Contraptions from Atomfilms is coming up on June 27th. Hurry and purchase these for only $9.95 while you still can! Unfortunately no word yet on an American release of these on DVD.

Aardman’s website has been updated again to give more information about the July 4th “Wrong Trousers Day.” You can now check out:

You will need the latest flash plugin and a fast connetion (it takes a while to load) but it’s quite nice! It includes a meter saying how much is raised, the history of the day, a countdown meter, “fun stuff” and more! Check it out, and donate if you’re able!

On a side note, they are still showing the Cracking Contraptions at Atomfilms.com. This week it’s Snoozatron (great and funny!), on Tuesday the 3rd they will start playing The Cardomatic!

Each week through June, starting this week with “The Autochef” (1 minute, 46 seconds) you can see one of the Cracking Contraptions per week for free! It’s just streaming media, so you can’t download them (for only $9.95 you can stream and download them), but this is a perfect opportunity to view them all. Next week’s is “The Turbo Diner” … so go on over there and see your favorite characters in these wonderfully funny shorts! In just over six months this site has recieved 1000 hits, thanks to everyone who has visited!

On friday July 4th, 2003, when Americans will be celebrating independence day, the UK will be having it’s first national “Wrong Trousers Day” which is a fundraiser where regular people and celebrities alike are asked to wear “the wrong trousers” (sweat pants, pyjama pants, anything that’s ‘wrong’!) to benefit children’s hospitals and hospices across the country, they each donate £1 to “look wrong. Some celebrities already lined up to participate include Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey and Julianne Moore! Check out the aardman site for more details:

Gamers.com recently had an article about the upcoming Wallace And Gromit Game. The expected release date is the forth quarter of 2003, and will be released for the Xbox and Playstation 2! The premise of the game? Feathers McGraw takes over the zoo that has imprisoned him, and wallace and gromit must save the day!

Looks like it’ll be a lot of fun! I can’t wait.

Serta mattress company recently employed the talents at Aardman Entertainment in creation of the “Counting Sheep” for their latest ad campaign! These sheep are just like Shaun, but with white faces… At their website you can even buy these sheep stuffed animals for $9.99 each!

The Official Wallace and Gromit website now has an exclusive Wallace and Gromit store. With items from stuffed animals and watches to carrying bags and collectable figurines. And yes, they do ship internationally as long as you pay by credit card, although buyer is responsible for any and all duties/taxes that come from shipping internationally (I usually use ebay’s currency converter to convert international currencies: Currency Converter).
